Electrical Engineering
The Kimmel School of Construction Management, Engineering and Technology at WCU now offers a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. This on-campus program is jointly offered with the UNC-Charlotte College of Engineering, Electrical Engineering faculty.
The Western North Carolina section of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers) honored Bill Medaris (left) for his work as chairman of the Asheville section as well as serving as the WCU Faculty Advisor to the student chapter until 2001. Ken Burbank (center) served as the faculty advisor for two years. Robert Adams (right) is the current faculty advisor and has revitalized the WCU chapter of IEEE.
