The Rapid Prototyping and Metrology Laboratory of the School of Technology utilizes various instruments for the measuring of material surface finish. Pictured here is a Zeiss Machine, which uses coordinate measuring technology along with Calypso software in performing point-by-point metrological recognition of a work piece by probing its configurative surfaces.
